If not, you're missing out.
There's BookTube (aka YouTube for writers and readers), Instagram, Goodreads, writer's groups, conferences and so much more!
There are some serious benefits to joining us. Yes...join us...
Here are 6 reasons to join
1. You'll feel less alone.
Writing is often something you do by yourself and it can feel very isolated. If you don't mind that, that's fine, but it's good to know there are others out there doing the same thing.
2. It will keep you motivated
What? That person published a book? And that person provided materials that I could use? Hmm, better get back to writing! Not only will you be inspired but you'll think, "Yeah, I can do this."
3. You're writing will improve considerably
You'll learn from others mistakes and mistakes of your own through constructive feedback. Even the task of drafting a post will be part of your practice (that's what I'm doing!). You'll only get better not worse.
4. There will be no shortage of things to learn
Someone will always be posting another tip or exercise to improve your writing. They may stick and others won't but you'll absorb what's important to you and apply it to your writing.
5. You'll have support
Being a writer is not easy and there may be times you go through slumps or want to give up. The support and motivation of those around you or online will keep you going. Don't give up, just keep writing.
6. You'll find friends, motivators and mentors
As soon as I joined Instagram, I made two great friends in less than a week! @toripaigereads and @readertowriter (since she took the name I wanted I guess we were meant to be friends!).
Are you inclined to join us now? Do you agree or disagree? Are you already part of the writer's community?
