You don't know who I am, but this is for you.
It's for all the things that were never said, the constant regrets and embarrassments and the love and friendships that dissolved.
You're no longer a friend, perhaps you never were. You were a life lesson. One whom I loved and hated, agreed and disagreed.
I can't say who you are, even I don't know, but I can say that I forgive you and I forgive myself.
There are so many inspirational quotes out there about love and loss, regret and forgiveness, motivation and failure, but there will never be enough to describe life itself.
The supposed definition of life is this:
"The existence of an individual human being or animal."
I disagree. What about a child who has an imaginary friend? The presence we feel around us? The air we breath? There is no true definition of life. Life is and will always be.
We know what life brings us, friends, gifts, family. But what truly is life? All we know is our basic instinct is to want it, to have it, to keep it. Do you agree?
In my novel I created a quote through a character and the scene goes like this:
"Do you know what we all have in common since the day we are born?"
I think this is life.
I think this is you.
I didn't really know where I was going with this post, it came to me out of the blue. Hence why I call this section a journal and not a blog!
What do you think the definition of life is? If you had to write a letter to someone now who would it be?
